Fur Service     Burtrum Furs, the friendly owned family business, will provide full service for your furs and fine outerwear.  Storage is a must for your furs, leathers, cashmeres, shearlings, and wool, and we offer a variety of storage plans to fit your lifestyle.  Summer storage is our most popular plan, but we also offer yearly and three year storage contracts as well.  Burtrums not only cleans furs but, fur trimmed items, leathers, suedes, shearlings, and faux furs.   All of our fur cleaning is done in house while our leathers, suedes, and shearlings are done by New York's most experienced leather cleaner.   Burtrums can also make available rewhitening, an elaborate process which removes the oxidation (yellowing) out of light colored furs.  

Burtrums has its own in house master furriers and seamstresses to handle any fur or outerwear repair you may need.  We do everything from fixing loose linings and replacing hooks to repairing large rips and remodeling coats.  The workroom is on premises and we also offer monograms, tab initials, hat stretching, and removal of old monograms.  We can fix or replace zippers,  shorten sleeves and hems and do new linings in  furs or other fine outerwear.

Burtrums can help you decide what to do with your older fur garment.  You may trade it towards a new purchase or remodel your fur if the skins are in good condition.  Another service we provide is selling your fur on consignment with our trade ins. A brand new service is Burtrums can now sell you coat on EBay .  A final suggestion is donating the item and writing it off your taxes.  In most cases you will need to obtain an apprasial for your tax records which Burtrums can provide for a small fee.  We also do apprasials for new purchases bought somewhere else and for the occasional insurance update.
